1. Acceptance of Terms #

By accessing or using FontPreview ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, you may not use the Service.

2. What FontPreview Does #

FontPreview is a client-side typography laboratory. All font previews, comparisons, and text rendering happen entirely in your browser. We do not:

• ❌ Store text you type
• ❌ Upload font files to our servers
• ❌ Retain screenshots or previews
• ❌ Track individual font selections

The Service is provided "as-is" for personal and professional design evaluation purposes.

3. Font Licenses & Intellectual Property #

FontPreview does not own, sell, or sublicense fonts. We provide a user interface to preview and compare fonts from:

• Google Fonts: Licensed under the SIL Open Font License (OFL).
• System Fonts: Licensed by your operating system vendor.

Your responsibilities:

All trademarks, font names, and brand identities are property of their respective owners.

4. AI Brand Analyzer Terms #

The Brand Analyzer uses Hugging Face AI to provide sentiment analysis and brand archetype matching.

By using this feature, you acknowledge:

• ✅ Your brand description is sent securely to Hugging Face's API for processing
• ✅ Analysis is temporary and used only to generate your results
• ✅ We do not store your brand descriptions or analysis results
• ✅ Hugging Face's Terms of Service apply to API calls

You agree NOT to:

• 🔴 Submit illegal, harmful, or offensive content
• 🔴 Attempt to extract or reverse-engineer the AI models
• 🔴 Use the AI analysis for automated decision-making that affects legal rights

5. System Font Access #

FontPreview's Comparison Lab may request access to fonts installed on your device.

By granting permission:

• ✅ You consent to us reading font names only for display in the comparison dropdown.
• ✅ You confirm you have the legal right to use these fonts for personal preview purposes.
• ✅ You understand that font files remain on your device and are never transmitted.

You may revoke this access at any time via your browser settings. We do not store this preference on our servers.

6. Acceptable Use Policy #

You agree not to:

• 🔴 Use automated tools (bots, scrapers, crawlers) to access the Service.
• 🔴 Attempt to reverse-engineer or copy our interface design.
• 🔴 Interfere with the performance of the Service or overload our infrastructure.
• 🔴 Use FontPreview for illegal purposes or to distribute malware.
• 🔴 Impersonate FontPreview or claim affiliation without written consent.

Violation of these terms may result in immediate termination of access without notice.

7. No Account System #

FontPreview currently does not require user accounts. All preferences (selected fonts, dark mode, font permissions, favorites) are stored locally in your browser's localStorage. Clearing your browser cache or switching devices will result in the loss of saved preferences.

8. Third-Party Services #

FontPreview integrates with:

• Google Fonts API – Subject to Google's Terms of Service.
• Google AdSense – Uses cookies for personalized advertising – Subject to Google's Advertising Terms.
• Google Analytics – Subject to Google's Privacy Policy.
• Hugging Face API – Subject to Hugging Face's Terms of Service.

We are not responsible for the performance, availability, or content of these third-party services.

9. Disclaimer & Limitation of Liability #

FontPreview is provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee:

• Uninterrupted or error-free operation
• Accuracy of font renderings (which depend on your browser and OS)
• Accuracy of AI brand analysis results
• That fonts displayed are licensed for commercial use

To the maximum extent permitted by law, FontPreview shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service.

You are responsible for verifying font licenses before using them in commercial projects.

10. Indemnification #

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless FontPreview, its operators, and contributors from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your violation of these Terms or your misuse of the Service.

11. Termination #

We reserve the right to:

• Modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service without notice.
• Block access to users who violate these Terms.
• Remove features that are abused or misused.

You may stop using FontPreview at any time. No formal termination notice is required.

12. Governing Law #

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Delaware, United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.

Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be resolved exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Delaware.

13. Mandatory Arbitration #

Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or your use of the Service shall be resolved by binding arbitration in accordance with the rules of the American Arbitration Association. The arbitration shall take place in Delaware, and judgment on the arbitration award may be entered in any court having jurisdiction.

Class Action Waiver: You agree to resolve disputes with FontPreview on an individual basis and waive any right to participate in a class action lawsuit or class-wide arbitration.

14. Severability #

If any provision of these Terms is held to be unenforceable or invalid, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.

15. Changes to Terms #

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last Updated" date. Continued use of FontPreview after changes constitutes acceptance.
