FontPreview ("we", "our", "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights. By using FontPreview, you agree to the terms of this Privacy Policy.

2. Information We Collect

We do not collect personally identifiable information. The text you enter in our preview and comparison tools is processed locally in your browser and is never stored on our servers.

However, the following third-party services may collect anonymized data:

• Google Analytics: Page views, session duration, device type
• Google AdSense: Cookies for personalized advertising
• Google Fonts API: Browser requests (see Google's policy)
• Hugging Face AI: Brand description text for analysis (not stored)

3. AI Brand Analyzer

Our new Brand Analyzer uses Hugging Face AI to provide sentiment analysis and brand archetype matching.

What happens with your data:

• Your brand description is sent securely to Hugging Face's API
• Processing is temporary and used only to generate your results
• We do not store your brand descriptions or analysis results
• Hugging Face's Privacy Policy applies to API calls

We explicitly do NOT:

• Use your brand text for training AI models
• Store your brand descriptions on our servers
• Share your brand data with third parties

4. Google Analytics

We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors interact with FontPreview. This helps us improve our tools and content. Google Analytics collects:

• Pages you visit and time spent
• Your approximate geographic region (country/city)
• Browser type, device model, and operating system
• Referral source (how you found us)

This data is anonymous and aggregated. It does not identify you personally. You can opt out of Google Analytics by installing the browser add-on.

5. Cookies & Google AdSense

We use Google AdSense to display advertisements. Google uses cookies to show ads based on your previous visits to this and other websites. These cookies allow Google and its partners to serve personalized ads.

You can control this:

• Opt out of personalized advertising at Google Ad Settings
• Disable cookies entirely through your browser settings

We do not have access to these cookies. Google's use of advertising cookies is subject to Google's Privacy Policy.

6. System Font Access

FontPreview's Comparison Lab may request access to fonts installed on your device. This feature uses the modern Local Font Access API available in compatible browsers.

What we do with this permission:

• Read the names only of fonts installed on your computer
• Display these font names in a dropdown menu for comparison
• Render preview text using your local fonts

We explicitly do NOT:

• Upload, copy, or store font files
• Transmit font names to our servers
• Access font data outside of your browser's local rendering

7. Third-Party Services

FontPreview integrates with:

• Google Fonts API: Loads web fonts dynamically
• Google AdSense: Displays advertisements
• Google Analytics: Tracks anonymous usage
• Hugging Face API: AI brand analysis
• html2canvas: Creates screenshot previews (client-side only)

Each service operates under its own privacy policy. We are not responsible for their practices.

8. Your Privacy Rights (CCPA & GDPR)

California Residents (CCPA): You have the right to:

• Request deletion of any personal data we may hold
• Opt out of the "sale" of personal information
• Know what data has been collected about you

FontPreview does not sell your personal information.

EU Residents (GDPR): You have the right to:

• Access, correct, or delete your data
• Withdraw consent at any time
• Lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority

9. Data Security

We implement reasonable security measures, including HTTPS encryption and secure API practices. However, no method of transmission over the Internet is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security.

10. Children's Privacy

FontPreview is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with data, contact us immediately.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes in our practices or for legal compliance. Updates will be posted on this page with a revised effective date.
